A New Phase for Me
This is a new kind of post for me. I recently surrendered to some coaching for myself as I find myself entering a new phase for me. Here’s what I wrote to my peers in the group as a way of a brief introduction.
Hi everyone,
I’m very glad to be here. I had a training and coaching business for 25 years, which I totally loved, but it was bereft of balance. Part of the consequence was that I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 13 years ago. So….as my energy and stamina begin to return, I am sort of starting over at 70, wanting at this point in time, to be crystal clear as to how I will use my remaining years, energy and gifts, to do what I have always loved…bringing clarity out of confusion to those who want their lives to be meaningful and fulfilling and who are willing to engage in inquiries, reflections and actions that will achieve it.
Probably the best way to get to know who I am is a quick trip to two websites:
1) www.taketimeforyou.net which I set up as a extended calling card in 2005 simply because I needed to say to the world “I am here” even though at that time I wasn’t able to work. Over the next months, it will be reconfigured.
2) www.whynotdowhatyoulove.com is the 2010 celebration of the book I published in January. No professional services listed, as even at 6 months ago, I wasn’t certain I could manage more than a very few limited commitments. So I am just moving slowly F-O-R-W-A-R-D.
Things have shifted somewhat over the last six months. I am feeling stronger and more eager to get back in the saddle, as long as I can keep the pace easy, simple, and joyful. I want to help folks create the islands of sanity, doing what they love, and doing what’s next for them in the world. Not sure about my “target market,” the ones who will most resonate with, and most benefit from, my gifts. Nor the crystal clarity of the message within me.
And so, I’m finally ready to get some support for myself. I look forward to meeting, and learning from, each one of you.
While I share this with some hesitation, I thought you, my readers, would like to know. Life is a journey for all of us. No one is exempt from being able to use the support of others as they face “the new” in their lives–even this proud coach, blogger, and author of a truly wonderful book. My energy is returning. I will be coaching on a limited basis. I will be writing. I will even be listing services. Stay tuned as the journey continues.
